Why am I a Lake District wedding photographer?

Oh my gosh! Where do I start? I have been travelling to the Lake District for more years than I care to remember. When I started photographing the landscape, the Lake District was my "go to" place. I've lost count of the times I "chased the light" for THE perfect landscape shot. Now it's photographing couples in that beautiful light that sets my pulse racing. There are so many stunning wedding venues in the Lake District it's hard to say which is my favourite because each one has it's own special quality.

Around every corner there is beauty and Lake District and wedding venues are STUNNING. From grand stately homes and estates to rustic barns and river/lakeside venues, The Lake District has it all whatever your vision for your wedding day.

With all the natural beauty that surrounds the wedding venues there is no shortage of beautiful backdrops for your wedding photographs and because my origins in photography stem from photographing the landscape in the Lake District I'm naturally in tune with the light and how to use this to my advantage when photographing your love story here. No matter the weather I can and will get those dreamy, romantic and fun portraits of you.

Although the vast majority of Lake District wedding venues have awesome views of their own, sometimes you might just want something that little bit different for maybe one or two of your photos and you know what, I'm more than happy for us to jump in my car and head off to a lake, mountain view, tarn or waterfall if that's what you'd really love to do - it's YOUR day and YOUR love story and I'll photograph it the way YOU want it.
