Lancashire - the Red Rose County.
I love Lancashire. It's been my home for almost 42 years and I never get tired of the sight of Pendle Hill as it looms large on the horizon, welcoming me home from wherever I've been, in fact I can see it from my back garden, unless it's raining! Someone once told me, not long after I moved to East Lancashire "If you can see Pendle Hill - it's going to rain and if you can't - it's already raining" and this saying is so true.
Lancashire has a lovely gentle feel to it, rolling hills, wild moorland where the buzzards and curlews call, quietly meandering streams and rivers, beautiful, bluebell strewn woodlands, walking trails that skirt magnificent estates, cozy country inns and of course an abundance of wowzer wedding venues. As a Lancashire wedding photographer it's so lovely to be asked to photograph a couple's big day in my home county ... I get so excited at the thought of working at some of the most beautiful venues, with some of the most fabulous wedding teams around.
If you're coming from outside of Lancashire to celebrate your wedding and you're staying for a day or two there are lots of local attractions for you to visit, whether you're a history buff, hiking enthusiast or birdwatcher and nature lover we've got lots on offer.
