A Girl's Night In

A Girl's Night In

This lovely group of friends wanted  me to capture their pre festive celebrations so I  arranged to meet them at their house party. Things were  in full swing when I arrived and the props were ready to ensure the atmosphere was portrayed in true fashion. We  had such a laugh and all the girls were thrilled at the resulting images .... more

Jon & Sam at Brockholes Nature Reserve

Jon & Sam at Brockholes Nature Reserve

Jon and Sam get married next March and I thought it would be great to get some shots of them beforehand. Neither had a particularly  special place so I suggested Brockholes as it's one of my favourite locations and I've used it many times. Conditions were damp, cool and windy but that didn't get in the way of these two beautiful people having fun... more

The Goatherd & The Argan Tree

On holiday in Morocco in March 2015 I had booked a trip to the pretty fishing town of Essaouira on the coast. Some time after leaving Marrakech we came upon this strange sight - a tree of goats ! The local goatherds encourage their goats up into the argan trees to eat the nuts. The kernels which the goats spit out are then collected and taken to the women's  co-operatives in the area to be processed by hand and made into beauty products including the famous argan oil.

This goatherd was encouraging us tourists to hold the young kid ...... for a fee of course !!

The Potter - Marrakech

I was fascinated by  the potters hands as he worked the clay to produce some lovely pots and tagines

Love by Lamplight - Venice

I love Venice ! The city is so romantic. I have been lucky enough to visit this beautiful part of Italy on three occasions and this image was taken on my last visit with my husband in 2012 on a trip to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary. On a walk after dinner one evening we happened upon this scene.

Taken looking across the Giudecca canal, just as I lifted my camera to take the shot of the moon over the buildings on the far side this couple appeared ahead of me ...... I just had  to include them in the shot .....it was too romantic not to !
